Tathion 500

PACKAGE

(Reduced L-Glutathione……………. 50mg) 500 Tab./btl

INTRODUCTION

Tathion® Tab. is a reduced Glutathione pharmaceutical preparation by method of construction from a Japanese pharmaceutical company’s researchers. The reduced L-Gluthathione is a tri-peptide, consisting of glutamic acid, cysteine, glycine; It has been researched since Hopkins’ first found in the compound in yeast, liver or other tissues in 1921. And also, it gained world-wide recognition of which biochemical importance of oxidation, reduction, and detoxification mechanisms and various enzyme regeneration. Specially, The detoxification mechanism of the L-Gluthathione would promote every kind of conjugated detoxification like glucuronic acid conjugate, glycine conjugate and rhodanide (neutralizes cyanide into thiocyanate) by fundamental clinical experiment.

COMPOSITION

Each tablet contains

Glutathione, reduced ……………………50mg

Molecular formula: C10H17N2O6S

Molecular weight: 307.33

Non-proprietary name: L-Glutathione, reduced

Chemical Terms: γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinyl-glycine

DESCRIPTION

White-sugar coating tablet containing Glutathione, reduced. Dissolves well in water, forming white or light gray of crystal powder and has an acid taste.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

Glutathione was comprised in healthy person’s liver and also acts bio-chemically in the processes listed below. It has been recognized especially for it’s superior effects on hepatic function as liver disturbance reduces Glutathione.

Tathion ® Tab

Participates in biochemical oxidation-reduction processes:

Improve biochemical energy level by promoting TCA cycle rotation and development action of the oxidation-reduction system

Activation process of enzymes:

Acts as an ‘Enzyme cleaner’, and also acts as a coenzyme of the other enzyme systems.

Wide detoxification:

Shows excellent influences as essential conjugated detoxification by affecting glucuronic acid conjugate, glycine conjugate and rhodanide as well as detoxifying effects on poisoning by carbon monoxide, heavy metal and organic solvents.

Prominent liver activity enhancer:

Shows great improvement on liver function test, especially on icteric index, BSP, GOT, GPT etc.

Prominent activities on subjective symptom:

Shows effects on subjective symptoms of toxicosis like anorexia, malaise, retching, vomiting or pruritus cutaneus.

Preservation of red blood cell’s activities:

Prevents haemolysis of red blood cell and also reduces methemoglobin.

Anti-allergic action :

balances acetylcholine and cholinesterase equilibrium malfunction. Shows anti-allergic action.

Prevention of radiation hazard:

Restrains leukopenia which frequently can be seen after a dosage of anticancer drug or radiation.

Inhibits action of pigmentation:

Simultaneously restrains outgrowth of melanin and reduces melanin oxidation.

Low toxic level :

Lethal dose in acute toxicity (LD50), 2.530mg/kg, 4.020mg/kg (intraperitoneal), oral or hypodermic injection (over 5.000mg/kg). Though an overdose test was performed continuously to impose chronic toxicity(250mg/kg), there was no gross or microscopic pathology detected.

CLINICAL APPLICATION

As it is a powerful stimulant of liver action or protection, it can be used in hepatic dysfunction, recovery from fatigue and alcoholism.

In diabetics, glycometabolism can take place, the use of glutathione reduces blood glucose and normalizes glucose tolerance.

Its anti-allergy action and liver detoxification effects makes it possible to apply for the treatment of cutaneous disorders (chronic eczema, urticaria etc.)

As it acts to restrain outgrowth of melanin and continues to reduce vitamin C, can apply pigment siderosis of woman face.

As it promotes the iron absorption and hematopoiesis, can apply iron deficiency anemia and each of anemia.
